Despite being an SR rarity memoria, The Power to Change the World is one of Ryza’s strongest offensive choices, adding an extra on-hit effect to all her skills that will boost the damage of all follow-up attacks from allies for the next 2 hits. The low Speed of this memoria is not that much of a problem for her to due to her high 257 base Speed and high Speed accessories, serving her more often than not as a way to adjust to other slower supports or breakers. This effect is generic so it is not affected by the Enhance P./M. Resistance Down trait.
TheĀ Dress-Up Outing! memoria, when sufficiently ranked up, can seriously increase the M.Atk stat given by her Burst secondary effect. This is widely used for competitive Roman’s Tournament fights where every bit of damage counts.
The A Yukata-Clad Sprint through the Steam works in a similar way but instead of increasing the damage the targets take, it will reduce their Fire, Ice, Bolt and Air Resistances on hit. The value of this effect is indeed stronger than the one from The Power to Change the World but the catch is that this memoria needs a high rank in order to beat it. If you have this memoria at rank 4 or higher, this is your best offensive pick.
If stun power is what you are after, her strongest choice is the Snapshot of Youth memoria which offers one the highest stun damage potencies in her arsenal and very high Speed but is also reliant on rank. Rank 2 of this memoria is usually strong enough to be noticeable, but more accessible memorias such as A Continuation of That Summer and Watching Fireworks can work as more budget alternatives in certain situations.
Gyaru Staff
While equipped to a Breaker with Air affinity, boosts stun damage by 12 ~ 17% when attacking a weakness.
An all purpose weapon greatly enhancing the stun damage of all her skills as long the enemies are weak to Air. When using Skill 2, Ryza can turn neutral enemies into Air weak thanks to her own debuffs before the hit itself, making this staff very convenient for most of the content.
Training Path
Boosts potency of negative effects inflicted by 6 ~ 8%.
Offensive focused item, enhancing the potency of all her negative effects including memoria and gear effects. It’s powerful, and the most efficient weapon to use if not trying to stun enemies. It’s an Extra category recipe, sadly, making it quite hard to synthesize as SSR.
Beloved Sword
While equipped to a Breaker, boosts stun damage by 8 ~ 11% when attacking a weakness.
This weapon is recommended only for stun purposes. Its condition is easy to meet for Ryza even against enemies that are neutral to Air damage due to her Skill 2 applying an Air Resistance debuff before the attack itself, making them weak to Air. This is not the case for her Burst, unfortunately.
Holy Favor Staff
While equipped to a character with Air affinity, boosts single-target attack stun damage by 13 ~ 18%.
Another Stun related item only, this time affecting only her Burst. The advantage of this weapon is that unlike Gyaru Staff, it works on any enemy regardless of weakness or resistance. It is very powerful in some cases for big burst setups, but very expensive to make.
Gyaru Uniform
While equipped to a Breaker with Air affinity, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 11 ~ 15%.
Offensive oriented armor that will boost the potency of all her negative effects, including effects from memorias like the mentioned above, or other items like the Gyaru Bangle. It’s her most desired piece of armor for almost everything, but also event locked. An early game alternative to this is Hero Armor, which is weaker but accessible at all times from a Revival event.
Tolerance Robe
While equipped to a character with Air affinity, boosts stun damage by 9 ~ 12%.
This armor is a moderate boost to her stun damage and nothing else. Usually never needed for her to perform her job, but there could be instances where it can be needed.
Charade Lumont
Boosts stun damage by 8 ~ 11% on attacks that hit all enemies.
This armor provides a moderate boost to all AoE attacks. It’s the earliest stun related item you can unlock and the cheapest too, so it’s a good early game alternative for beginners.
Gyaru Bangle
While equipped to a character with Air affinity, when attack target is stunned, boosts target’s damage received by 6 ~ 8% for 2 attacks.
Adds an extra on-stun debuff effect to all her attacks, increasing the damage those targets take for to 2 attacks. This effect is very strong and synergizes very well with the rest of her kit which, on top of its high +12 Speed make it the most attractive accessory choice.
Unfortunately, to apply this effect, said target needs to be stunned first and will do nothing otherwise. This is also not affected by the Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down trait.
Ciel Talon
While equipped to a character with Air affinity, boosts stun damage of attacks that target all enemies by 13 ~ 18%.
Affecting only her Skill 2, this is the biggest boost to stun damage she can get. This is usually fine as her Burst is already potent enough to one or two shot a boss, although using a stun accessory will come at a great opportunity cost for losing the effect of Gyaru Bangle, so consider these as niche alternatives.
Orphic Ring: Air
While equipped to a Breaker with Air affinity, boosts stun damage by 9 ~ 12%.
Another pure stun oriented accessory, this time affecting all her skills. It is weaker, but it’s very accessible from early in the game and very cheap to synthesize, making ideal for beginners without access to the other recipes.
Main Traits
- Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down is her most important trait, dramatically increasing the potency of her magic damage taken debuff on skill 2 and Burst. This trait is almost worthless at rank IV and should always strive to get it as V rank, even in detriment of the secondary trait. The difference between both ranks is massive.
- Magic Stun Damage Boost traits are her main source of stun damage, her secondary role. There are very few instances where this is most important than Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down, but they exist
- Although less than ideal, if having to choose between one or the other, Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down almost always is the right call. Ryza’s primary role is of a debuffer
Situational Traits
- Her second trait slot should only replace Magic Stun Damage Boost in case you don’t need to stun enemies or if you are unable to get it. Never replace Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down.
- The Enhanced Damage Buff [A] trait is the primary candidate for this, to enhance the skill damage provided by her passive. This is best used when accompanied by another breaker as she will have a hard time stunning enemies by herself if using this, but can provide a quite hefty boost to damage if pulled off.
- Ryza, as many other breakers, is a very frail character and can easily die to strong AoE attacks from enemies. The All-Target Attack Resistance Up can help with this in the secondary slot, reducing the damage she takes significantly against this type of attacks.
- Stun Damage Up on Weakness is potentially more powerful than Magic Stun Damage Boost, but it’s currently impossible to match with her main trait, so this is most of the times out of the question.
- The Stun Damage Boost trait is a direct downgrade to Magic Stun Damage Boost. It’s not great, but it does something.
- Be careful, as her Panel Immunity effect can also disable negative panels from enemies.
- The Enhanced Damage Buff [A] trait can boost her base passive effect (not panels). The 30% skill damage buff granted to allies when the target is in a stunned state is invisible, meaning it will not show in the buff list, but it’s permanently active so, as long as the ally attacks a stunned enemy, they will benefit from this buff. This effect is also affected by the Enhanced Damage Buff [A] trait and increases to buff potencies.
- A Boost Panel normally adds a 40% skill damage to the receiver. A Boost+ Panel will add a 100% instead. None of these amounts are affected by Enhanced Damage Buff [A] trait or buff potency given because the buff is given by the panel itself, and not a character. However, this amount can be increased by buff potency received effects.
- Her Leader Skill is absurdly strong, providing Initiative to some of the strongest characters in the game such as all versions of Klaudia and herself. There are many powerful combos to be done with this tool, and can bypass many annoying fights and enemy openers.
- Despite being a Breaker, her breaking role is secondary. Her most important job is debuffing the enemy to take increased magic damage. This is not linked to the condition of stunning enemies (except for Gyaru Bangle effect), so she does not need to do this to work at her best.
- The M.Atk buff on her Burst does rely on stunning the enemy with Burst, and is not affected by Enhanced Damage Buff [A].
- She works best with an Air damage dealer in her team, but plays well with any magic team at all (Fire, Ice, Bolt).
