Pretty standard buffing support choices all around but Firis has an extra alternative that most supports don’t, with the Ice affinity exclusive Welcome to the Party!. This memoria has very high Speed and provides a larger boost than It’s Time to Study!, making it perhaps Firis’ most desirable pick, especially in multi support settings where it’s common for them to clash for the same memorias.
Memorias like A Future Worth Fighting For and Our Masterpiece are still very slightly stronger in what the provide, but they have lower Speeds, something that in some occasions can be preferred. To the Academy of Dreams! is a Free memoria with the lowest Speed of the buffing bunch and also a viable choice. All these memorias are interchangeable and you should always pick the one you have ranked up the most, if the Speed provided matches her needs.

As a debuffer, Firis can also use the R rarity memoria The Taste of Civilization, adding an extra stackable damage boost debuff to her skills. To get the most out of this, of course, it’s better to use this when her resistance reduction debuffs are going to be exploited by a damage dealer and not by breakers, so proper planning is necessary.

Angel Staff

While equipped to a Supporter, after using a skill, boosts all allies’ critical damage by 4 ~ 5% for 1 turn.

One of the most versatile weapons in the game, this is the best pick for general content. Provides a strong buff that can be increase by Enhanced Damage Buff [A] every time she acts, and that’s it. This effect can be stacked multiple times if playing alongside slow allies.

Crepusculum

While equipped to a Supporter, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 7 ~ 10%.

The one debuffing oriented weapon she has. Usually outclassed by buffing effects, in instances where positive effects are reduced, this weapon will slightly enhance anything she manages to apply on enemies, from her own skills, to memoria and gear effects. It’s also very cheap to make and unlocked very early in the game.

Heart of Wisdom

While equipped to a Supporter with Ice affinity, boosts all allies’ skill damage by 3 ~ 4%.

An alternative to Angel Staff, this weapon provides a small passive boost to skill damage instead. It’s active at all times and does not need you to act, but it cannot be stacked and the effect itself is slightly weaker by comparison.
This effect is also boosted by Enhanced Damage Buff [A].

Class President’s Cane

While equipped to a Supporter, after using a skill, boosts burst skill damage of the next ally in turn order by 9 ~ 12% for 1 turn.

There are many instances in which the desired turn order requires Firis to act right before her main damage dealer. With the right setup, this weapon provides by far the largest buff among the options, but it requires careful planning and turn manipulation. Keep in mind this buff only affects her ally’s Burst damage and nothing else.

Shadowguard Staff

While equipped to a Supporter with Ice affinity, after using a skill, restores all allies’ HP by 1% at the start of the turn for 1 ~ 2 turns.

This weapon is as niche as it gets. It will only be good when supporting Resna: Awakened Future, but it will be REALLY good. The best choice in this situation alone.

Frisch Coat

While equipped to a Supporter with Ice affinity, boosts all allies’ critical damage by 5 ~ 7%.

Best in slot armor almost always, providing a big passive critical damage buff that it’s active at all times and can be increased by Enhanced Damage Buff [A].

Purity Robe

While equipped to a Supporter with Ice affinity, after attacking, boosts target’s damage received by 5 ~ 7% for 2 attacks.

The strongest debuff oriented piece of armor she can use. It is quite strong, especially when paired with Crepusculum.

Carefree Swimsuit

While equipped to a Supporter, boosts potency of buff effects given by 7 ~ 10%.

This bonus will affect mostly her memoria buff and other buffing effects like Angel Staff. It is weaker than Frisch Coat, but it’s an alternative.

Frost Armor

While equipped to a character with Ice affinity, after attacking, boosts enemy’s damage received by 4 ~ 5% for 2 attacks.

Direct downgrade to Purity Robe but much cheaper to make and very easily unlocked early in the game. This is a great starting option for her.

Glaço Talon

While equipped to a Supporter with Ice affinity, boosts all allies’ critical damage by 6 ~ 9%.

By far the strongest item in Firis’ arsenal and with very high Speed too. Very big passive critical damage boost to all allies, active at all times. The only bad thing is that this recipe is locked behind Floor 30 of Ice Tower, making it quite challenging to unlock. Good luck.

Carefree Goggles

While equipped to a Supporter, boosts all allies’ magic attack skill damage by 2 ~ 3%.

A pretty decent alternative to the shoes, providing a small passive boost to the damage of all allies’ magic skills. It has 0 Speed though.

Victory Charm

While equipped to a Supporter, boosts all allies’ physical attack skill damage by 2 ~ 3%.

Firis works well with both magic and physical teams too. If assisting a physical damage dealer, this item is a viable pick.

Main Traits

  • Enhanced Damage Buff [A] is her most important trait and quite frankly the only one she needs. Helps boost all buff effects from her gear and memoria, regardless of what team she is assisting.

Situational Traits

Her second trait slot is normally very niche, but in case of needing it:

  • The All-Target Attack Resistance Up trait will add extra AoE mitigation to protect her. this is not bad when using her in affinity towers that are not Ice.
  • The Skill Power Up trait is her only other viable secondary option, even as a support. Adding a little bit of extra damage to her attacks, there is nothing else she can really use here, unless you are using her as a damage dealer in which case you can combine this with Critical Damage Up.
  • Firis’ role in teams extends beyond increasing the damage received by enemies, it also can increase the stun damage received by them, and turn neutral or even resistant enemies into weak enemies. This is very handy when played alongside characters who need this weakness condition to achieve higher mods or special bonuses like Heidi: Thief Rose, who can force stun all enemies weak to Strike. The combo of these 2 characters can completely demolish general content of any kind. An example of this interaction can be seen in this timestamped video.
  • Her Skill 2 is hard to use alongside other disruptive supporters since they will often consume the debuffs before you can exploit them. However. her Burst Skill’s effects last for 2 attacks, making it much more compatible with other hitters, as long she is faster than them. A powerful combo exists with Rorona: Joyful Leader, with Firis opening the fight with Skill 1. This will ensure her next turn will be placed after Rorona’s 1st turn, where she can feed Firis a Burst panel. After this, any other breaker or supporter can hit the enemies once without fear of fully consuming Firis’ debuffs, in preparation for a damage dealer’s strong attack.
  • Firis’ Burst Skill is also a mitigation tool, and a quite strong one at that, significantly reducing the damage dealt by all enemies for the next 2 turns!! This makes it stackable with itself and can seriously keep damage taken by the party under control especially in hard hitting fights like Floor 29 of the Ice Tower.
  • Properly using her passive Brittle effect requires some proper planning and does not go well with debuffing battle items, especially those with <Affinity> Curse type traits since Firis will consume them immediately after.
