Very interesting choices in Linca’s memoria repertoire, with one of the oldest stun related memorias toping the list. The Future in His Eyes is a Fire exclusive memoria with a powerful bonus to all stun attacks that will tremendously help Linca to achieve her much needed stuns to proc her effects. As mentioned, this memoria is among the first introduced in the game and chances are, you already have this ranked up sufficiently or even maxed out if you are a veteran. If not, other similar alternatives exist, including Watching Fireworks, with strong boosts during the first 2 turns of a fight and A Continuation of That Summer, a free memoria that will only work against enemies weak to Fire, something Linca can effortlessly create for herself even on neutral enemies.
Stunning is not all she can do. Wishes of Healing can seriously boost her M.Atk buff when stunning enemies with her Burst. If doing this, using pure Stun related traits is viable to increase the likelihood of this happening. Dress-Up Outing! also works for this same purpose but with reduced potency.
The low rarity The Scion of Arland is also powerful when facing enemies weak or neutral to Fire, applying a significant boost to the damage her targets’ take upon hitting this weakness, or by creating it herself.
Last but not least, she is one of the only characters in the game who can use the An Angel’s Kindness memoria to its full potential, applying an absolutely massive damage taken debuff on targets inflicted with Burns, up to twice!. With her own ability to reduce her enemies’ resistance to Burn, she can easily apply this status effect and immediately start stacking these effects. Unfortunately, as strong as this is in paper, many enemies are immune to this status effect and no amount of reduction will change that. Careful consideration must be taken when planning to use this tool.
Lightflame Sword
While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, after attacking, reduces target’s Fire resistance by 5 ~ 7% for 2 attacks.
The perfect addition to Linca’s kit when supporting Fire teams, complementing her already powerful Fire Resistance debuffs with even more of them. This effect is affected by Enhanced Resistance Down [Fire].
Eterno Flóga
While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affiniy, boosts stun damage by 12 ~ 17% when attacking a weakness.
Another stun only weapon. Its condition is easy to meet for Linca even against enemies that are neutral to Fire due to her Skill 2 and Burst applying a Fire Resistance debuff before the attack itself, making them weak to it. It is strongest stun oriented weapon, but conditional.
Kaftí Skoúpa
While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, boosts stun damage by 10 ~ 14%.
The strongest, unconditional, stun oriented weapon she can equip. Linca needs a lot of stun damage total to ensure her effects trigger, and this can often make the difference.
Training Path
Boosts potency of negative effects inflicted by 6 ~ 8%.
Offensive focused item, enhancing the potency of all her negative effects including skills, memoria and gear effects. It’s powerful, and the most efficient weapon to use when assisting allies other than Fire. It’s an Extra category recipe, sadly, making it quite hard to synthesize as SSR.
Beloved Sword
While equipped to a Breaker, boosts stun damage by 8 ~ 11% when attacking a weakness.
Yet another stun only weapon. Direct downgrade to Eterno Flóga, but more accessible.
Steel Bow
While equipped to a Breaker, boosts stun damage by 6 ~ 8%.
This weapon provides a slight boost to stun damage and has no special conditions required. It’s cheap to make and unlocked very early in the game, making it ideal for beginners without access to Beloved Sword or Kaftí Skoúpa.
Lichtschutz Mail
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, after attacking a weakness, permanently boosts own stun damage by 4 ~ 5%. (MAX 25%)
Ramping up armor with a powerful stun damage when maxed out, but a weak start. Designed for mid or long duration fights only.
Gold Embroidered Coat
Boosts stun damage by 8 ~ 11% on single-target attacks.
This one is old but still serviceable, providing a moderate but instant boost to all single target stun attacks. It’s one of the earliest stun related item you can unlock and the cheapest too, so it’s a good early game alternative for beginners well the into end game.
Hero’s Armor
When using magic skills, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 6 ~ 9%.
Offensive oriented piece, accessible now at all times via Revival events, this armor provides a moderate boost to the potency of Linca’s negative effects, including magic damage received and Fire resistance down, and anything else in her gear or memoria.
Link Symbol
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 9 ~ 12%.
Strong offense oriented piece with a decent Speed stat, boosting the potency of all of Linca’s negative effects, which also indirectly boosts her stun capabilities slightly, by enhancing her fire resistance down debuffs.
Cute Pauldrons
While equipped to an Attacker with Strike affinity, boosts potency of buffs received by 10 ~ 14%. It also boosts all “Promise & Teamwork” characters’ potency of buffs received by an additional 3 ~ 4%.
Exclusively for Tournament use, when assisting Resna: Awakened Future. It has no effect on herself but the secondary part of this piece will moderately increase all buffs received by Resna which is absolutely massive.
Success Ring
While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, boosts single-target attack stun damage by 13 ~ 18%.
Massive stun oriented item, also with great Speed, affecting all of Linca’s skills. For maximum stun performance, this item is a no brainer.
Pride Ring
While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, after attacking, boosts own stun damage by 11 ~ 15% for 1 turn.
This ring is a slight downgrade to Success Ring in terms of potency, but it sadly has a weak start with Linca’s first turn being unaffected. The upside of it is that it has an even higher Speed stat, which could be needed in some strategies.
Main Traits
- Enhanced Resistance Down [Fire] comes out on top when assisting exclusively fire affinity teams, which is her main role, and affecting all her skills without conditions. It shines the most when using her Burst Skill and it even affects her Lightflame Sword effect. This trait is interchangeable with Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down when assisting other affinity teams, or when using exclusively her Skill 2 instead.
- Magic Stun Damage Boost traits are critical on her to ensure quick breaks, her primary role. Linca absolutely needs to break her enemies to trigger the most out of her kit, and this trait (or similar) is needed for that.
Situational Traits
- Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down is another of her her most important traits, dramatically increasing the potency of her magic damage taken debuff on her Skill 2. This trait currently cannot coexist with Enhanced Resistance down [Fire], so you need to pick one or the other depending on what team you are playing with and what skill you will be predominantly using.
- Stun Damage Up on Weakness is potentially more powerful than Magic Stun Damage Boost, but it’s currently impossible to match with her main traits, so this is most of the times out of the question.
- The Stun Damage Boost trait is a direct downgrade to Magic Stun Damage Boost. It’s not great, but it does something.
- Linca is extremely dependent on stunning her targets to apply her effects on them. Not doing so will only apply the fire resistance debuffs, underperforming drastically, and making her feel much weaker than she really is. To do so, she needs a healthy amount of stun related traits in her gear, and because she needs at least 3 slots for non-stun related traits, that only leaves 3 slots for her to increase her stun damage. This makes her gear very demanding in trait ranks to actually feel strong.
- Unlike other similar characters, it is possible to sacrifice some non-stun oriented traits in favor of more stun, but this is mostly only when using her Burst Skill.
- Her Burn effects and Burst resistance down effect is niche. Most of the times it is not worth playing around, but it can be fun and interesting for some specific clears. Because Burn deals 2% of a target’s max HP, many stacks of Burn can completely shred through enemies with high HP.
- Just stunning a target will often apply 3 Burn stacks on them.
- Enemies immune to Burn will never be inflicted by this status effect, even if you reduce their resistance to it.
- Burn is a status effect, not a negative effect. This lasts permanently on the target or until cleansed, and will work great in fights that boost damage received by enemies inflicted with any of these, like in some floors of Affinity Towers.
- Her Leader Skill can be extremely cheesy against enemies that like to spam you with burn effects, like Red Punis regularly do.
- Her Skill 1 is a powerful setup tool for her other Skills, making them both much stronger when combo’d together.
- Her synthesis gift is extremely good, especially because of its colors. She is the only Magic Stun Damage Boost crafter with purple color end, a color that is required to chain with the Altare material, offering both Magic Stun Damage Boost and Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down, a combo of traits many magic breakers desire. For this, she needs to chain with either Lila: Jet Black Bodyguard or Shallistera: Chief’s Daughter for optimal results.
