As one of the oldest characters in the game, Marie is a Breaker in its most quintessential form. Pure stun damage oriented kit, with some minor utilities here and there and both AoE and single target skills.
Pure stun oriented memorias that match her are many, with A Whimsical Invitation taking the lead in terms of sheer potency but requiring a weakness to fire on her targets. A simpler and just barely weaker option is The Future in His Eyes with a powerful bonus to all her stun attacks and no special conditions. This memoria is among the first introduced in the game and chances are, you already have this ranked up sufficiently or even maxed out if you are a veteran. If not, other similar alternatives exist, including Hard at Work!, affecting only her Skill 2 and A Continuation of That Summer, a free memoria that will only work against enemies weak to Fire as well.
Watching Fireworks offers the strongest possible boost among all memorias but only during the first 2 turns of a fight. With Marie having a slow start and requiring her first turn to ramp up, this normally is less than ideal.

As damage boosting memorias, A Yukata-Clad Sprint through the Steam will allow her to debuff resistances not only with her Skill 1 but also debuff with the rest of her skills, while also boosting the damage or stun damage of magic allies from Air, Ice and Bolt affinities.

The low rarity The Scion of Arland is also powerful when facing enemies weak to Fire, applying a significant boost to the damage her targets’ take upon hitting this weakness.

Lightflame Sword

While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, after attacking, reduces target’s Fire resistance by 5 ~ 7% for 2 attacks.


A fantastic weapon that will add a notable fire reduction to all of her attacks. This effect is affected by Enhanced Resistance Down [Fire] and transforms Marie into a far more versatile character on the offense instead of a classic one dimensional breaker. It also works great with her Skill 1.

Kaftí Skoúpa

While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, boosts stun damage by 10 ~ 14%.


The strongest unconditional, stun oriented weapon she can equip. It works against all enemies and is perfect for this purpose alone.

Eterno Flóga

While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, boosts stun damage by 12 ~ 17% when attacking a weakness.


A stun oriented only weapon. It is her strongest stun oriented weapon, but usable only against enemies weak to fire.

Beloved Sword

While equipped to a Breaker, boosts stun damage by 8 ~ 11% when attacking a weakness.


Yet another stun only weapon. Direct downgrade to Eterno Flóga, but more accessible.

Steel Bow

While equipped to a Breaker, boosts stun damage by 6 ~ 8%.


This weapon provides a slight boost to stun damage and has no special conditions required. It’s cheap to make and unlocked very early in the game, making it ideal for beginners without access to Beloved Sword or Kaftí Skoúpa.

Lichtschutz Mail

While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, after attacking a weakness, permanently boosts own stun damage by 4 ~ 5%. (MAX 25%)


Ramping up armor with a powerful stun damage when maxed out, but a weak start. Designed for mid or long duration fights only, and kind of matches with her slow turn 1 kit.

Hero’s Armor

When using magic skills, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 6 ~ 9%.


Offensive oriented piece, accessible now at all times via Revival events, this armor provides a moderate boost to the potency of Marie’s fire resistance debuffs. It’s only recommended to be used alongside gear piece like Lightflame Sword and applicable traits to get a boost out of this item.

Charade Lumont

Boosts stun damage by 8 ~ 11% on attacks that hit all enemies.


This armor provides a moderate boost to all AoE attacks. It’s the earliest stun related item you can unlock and the cheapest too, so it’s a good early game alternative for beginners.

Pride Ring

While equipped to a Breaker with Fire affinity, after attacking, boosts own stun damage by 11 ~ 15% for 1 turn.


Ideal ring for Marie, with a much needed boost to her Speed and a matching gimmick that makes her weak on her first turn but considerably boosts her stun damage going forward.

Link Symbol

While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 9 ~ 12%.


Her best offense oriented piece with a decent Speed stat, boosting the potency of Marie’s Fire resistance debuffs. Same as with her armor piece, this is best used with Lightflame Sword and applicable traits for maximum benefit.

Main Traits

  • Marie is primarily a breaker and nothing else. That’s her main job and as such we need to focus on her stun power first and foremost. It’s possible to build only these type of traits and not hinder this role.
  • Enhanced Resistance Down [Fire] is a viable alternative, nonetheless. Having this trait comes hand in hand with similar gear pieces and boosts to negative effects. It’s also ideal if we will use her Skill 1 often which moves away from her primary role a little. Building this trait is only turns marie in a more offense oriented kind of breaker, in high detriment of her stun power. Recommended to use only if you know what you are doing.

Situational Traits

  • Skill 2 Stun Damage Up is just as good as Stun Damage Up on Weakness but this one only affects her Skill 2. This is not exactly great in my opinion but it’s a viable alternative to have in some circumstances.
  • The Stun Damage Boost trait is a direct downgrade to Magic Stun Damage Boost and all the others. It’s not great, but it does something.
  • Marie is primarily a breaker. She can be played as a pseudo fire resistance debuffer but it depends strongly on her gearing options and it’s far from her ideal role. Doing this should always be an informed decision and not done at random or she will perform both roles very poorly.
  • The stun damage effect on her Skill 2 is a buff and can be boosted by such enhancing effects, turning this skill in a very powerful breaking tool.
  • With this buff in mind, because it is inactive on her first turn, she has a relatively weak Turn 1 in every fight but all consecutive uses of Skill 2 will be a lot larger than average.
  • This buff will reset every time you do not use Skill 2 so consider your options before swapping skills  and always keep this loss in mind for future turn.
  • The effect on her Burst Skill is… weird. It’s weak because a high potency Burst like this will usually break the target anyway and any follow up attack on it will consume the debuffs while it’s broken. There are cases where this works, particularly against very hard to stun enemies, but this is rare.
  • 5 hits duration on her Skill 1 debuff is absurdly strong. It can be stacked many times and not only boost allies’ damage but her own follow up stun damage as well.
  • In my opinion one of the best early game breakers due to the consistent presence of Fire Weak enemies in all early-mid game content, and a good candidate to use your initial Spark of Memories on to select her, if you have other important characters from that pool already.
