Alternative
Low Priority
- Enhanced Damage Buff [A] is a no brainer. It’s by far her best trait when playing around Attacker allies, dramatically enhancing her skill damage buffs and stab damage buffs on them. If supporting Breakers, she can also replace this with Enhanced Damage Buff [B] to boost their damage instead.
- Recovery Boost [D], when used with Herbal Shirt, will enhance her survivability and ability to stay above 95% HP to consistently create Burst panels. Not that great without this very specific item.
- Full HP Physical and Magic Resistance Up traits work well on Flocke thanks to her great defensive stats and decent self healing. When paired with self sustain items like Herbal Shirt, it can maintain this trait active by itself and facilitate the creation of Burst panels over time. However, this will be hard to maintain against very hard hitting enemies.
- Regular Physical and Magic Resistance Up traits serve the same purpose, and are also fine to have and much easier to get but a bit weaker in exchange.
- Recovery Boost, Single Recovery Boost and Recovery Received Up are much weaker versions than Recovery Boost [D]. Usable traits, but recommended only as a last defensive choice.
- All Recovery Boost is also usable to enhance the AoE healing on her Burst and help allies. Team healing is a very minor part of her kit so this is not really recommended.
- Flocke is now a Defender, but she can’t completely leave her Supporting past behind. As a devoted girl always striving to cheer up her allies and make them stronger, she keeps many buffs in her kit and oh boy are they strong.
- This time around she buffs allies’s skill damage AND stab damage. That’s right, stab damage in specific, which is essentially another layer of skill damage that works on stab affinity allies. The first layer however is generic and works with any ally, but it’s the stab specific damage buff that is really strong.
- This aptitude makes her shine in Stab exclusive teams, a mono-team trend that will continue expanding more and more from now on in the game.
- Despite being a strong buffer worthy of many fully offensive teams, she is a ridiculously strong as a Defender too, absorbing great amounts of damage and mitigating damage on herself. This makes her essentially an all-around unit that facilitates all her teammates jobs and virtually eliminates the needs for healers, without really sacrificing damage.
- There are many Defender exclusive or generic memorias that Flocke can equip to exalt her buffing role even further, without really sacrificing survivability, including old ones like Our Masterpiece and To the Academy of Dreams!.
- Her secondary passive has insane potential. I don’t know how else to describe it really. Whenever she is attacked while her HP is above 95%, she will create a burst panel on the ally immediately after her in the timeline. This can happen an unlimited amount of times during a fight. This has absurd potential when used in different ways, with different teams, different skill usage, Speed/WT management and even to simply create Bursts for allies on the very first turn of a fight. Characters like Rorona: Joyful Leader were given longer than average wait times to prevent this gimmick from being abused, but Flocke doesn’t care, she does it anyway without even acting.
- She also can heal her team and herself substantially with her own burst, while PERMANENTLY buffing their damage. Lol.
- The way she is played and set in a team (party order and wait time management) can easily make or break a fight. She is pretty simple to use and very auto-friendly, but really getting to master her will make a world of a difference.
- Stab affinity teams finally a good and reliable Leader Skill that covers them all.

Koei Tecmo make a weak version of Flocke Challenge: Impossible.
Defender Flocke doesn’t even feel like a Defender. She feels like a Supporter, a Buffer and a Healer combined, with the highest defensive stats in the game, tank passives, tank gear and native aggression.
Despite having drastically reduced potential with Non-Stab teams, she still contributes much more offensively than any other Defender in the game, while retaining all the boons of having a Defender protecting the team. In Stab teams however is where she truly shines. Her buffs are so strong (relative to the Defender role) that she can even surpass dedicated Supporters.
Her buffs are still not enough to contest a slot in Tournament and make the role relevant there. Nevertheless, she is impossibly more comfortable to have for general content, and her Burst generating gimmick has uncharted potential for cheesy strategies.
Absolutely recommended for all players.
