- Among critical damage boosters, Promise of a Return is her primary and strongest damage dealing choice, with Core of Companionship following closely behind trading a small amount of power for Speed, if needed.
- Among skill damage boosters, on the other hand, Happy Birthday! is the strongest one but only working against enemies weak to Fire. Not too far behind, The Changing Scenery, Endless Discoveries and A Time Just for Two will offer essentially the same boosts, the first two without any conditions and the latter with an HP condition. Additionally, Following in Your Footsteps is a decent low rarity memoria ideal for beginners or players without any of the other options.
- On the support or co-damage dealing role, The Scion of Arland is an incredibly strong choice when fighting enemies weak to Fire, boosting the damage all her targets take by applying an extra debuff and reading them up for her main damage dealer. The Destined by the Stars is a buffing alternative to this instead, that should always be supported by Enhanced Damage Buff [A] traits to get the most out of its effect.

Crystal Rod
While equipped to an Attacker, boosts potency of buff effects received by 11 ~ 15%.
Undisputed best weapon to equip, providing high base M.Atk stat and a powerful effect boosting every single buff she receives, including her own gear and those provided by allies. This will completely outclass any other weapon effect by a large margin when used as a main damage dealer.

Thorny Sigh
While equipped to an Attacker, after attacking, boosts targets’ damage received by 3 ~ 4% for 2 attacks.
Debuff oriented item, adding an extra debuff layer to her attacks when played as a co-damage dealer or supporter. It has good value when matched with her AoE Burst skill.

Sling of Happiness
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts potency of buff effects given by 9 ~ 12%.
A buff oriented item, made specifically to boost her critical rate buffs which are not enhanced by regular traits. It will also boost other parts of her kit.

Fluens Flamma
While equipped to an Attacker with Fire affinity, after using a skill, boosts targets’ critical damage received by 6 ~ 9% for 2 attacks.
Debuff oriented item, adding an extra debuff layer to her attacks when played as a co-damage dealer or supporter. It has decent value when matched with her AoE Burst skill but this type of debuff is weaker than generic damage taken increases like the one from Thorny Sigh.

Hellfire Broom
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts all allies’ skill damage by 1 ~ 2%.
While equipped to a Supporter with Fire affinity, boosts all allies’ skill damage by an additional 2 ~ 2%.
A buff oriented item, directly buffing the skill damage of all her allies including herself. It’s a passive boost which means it cannot be stacked.
It should always be paired with Enhanced Damage Buff [A] trait to get a good boost out of this.
Only the first effect of this gear piece will apply.

Elemental Breath – Fire
While equipped to an Attacker with Fire affinity, boosts skill damage by 9 ~ 12%.
This is a basic but very strong weapon unlocked fairly early in the game. It has no conditions other than being a Fire Attacker, therefore it can be shared later on with similar characters. The effect is moderate and the weapon has a standard 20 ~ 45 M.Atk, so it’s really just an entry level piece that holds well into middle stages of the game and works perfect to clear Fire Tower.

Wanderer’s Clothes
While equipped to an Attacker with Fire affinity, boosts potency of received buff effects by 16 ~ 23%.
Hands down the strongest piece of gear Judie can wear as a main damage dealer. This armor will not only boost her own self buffs but everything she receives, from battle item buffs, memoria effects, other gear effects, party members’ buffs, passives, everything. It’s also quite cheap to make and unlocked relatively early in the game.

Hero’s Armor
When using magic skills, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 6 ~ 9%.
Offensive oriented piece, accessible now at all times via Revival events, this armor provides a moderate boost to the potency of Judie’s negative effects, specifically her critical damage received debuff, and anything else in her gear or memoria.

Valkyrie Mail
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts potency of buff effects given by 9 ~ 12%.
A buff oriented item, made specifically to boost her critical rate buffs which are not enhanced by regular traits. It will also boost other parts of her kit.

Silver Thread Armor
Boosts potency of buff effects received by 9 ~ 12%.
A direct downgrade from Wanderer’s Clothes. It’s much weaker and much, much harder to craft because it’s an Extra category recipe. Aside from that one armor, it’s still stronger than anything else she can equip, which is a testament to the power of increases to buffs received.
If you happened to have this armor from a different character and don’t have a Wanderer’s Clothes, use it.

Flame Hairpin
While equipped to an Attacker with Fire affinity, boosts potency of received buff effects by 16 ~ 23%.
This accessory works exactly as the Wanderer’s Clothes, with all its conditions and pros. For the same reasons too, this is the strongest piece of equipment she can wear in this gear slot when used as a main damage dealer.

Link Symbol
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 9 ~ 12%.
Her best debuffing piece to be used as a co-damage dealer or support, boosting the potency of all of Judie’s negative effects.

Origin Necklace – Fire
While equipped to an Attacker with Fire affinity, boosts burst skill damage by 17 ~ 25%.
An alternative damage dealing choice, but significantly weaker than Flame Hairpin.
Main Traits
- Skill Power Up is essential to her damage. Irreplaceable in most cases. Ideally you should get at at least 4 of these traits across her 6 trait slots, for a total of 100% Skill Power. Going above this will reduce the effective value of the trait, but going below will be a much more drastic drop in damage. In general, you almost never want less than 100%.
- Critical Damage Up is her second strongest dps choice, even above other staple alternatives like Enhanced Damage Buff [A]. 2x of this trait is good, but 1 is also good enough if you have her top chosen memorias.

Situational Traits
- The Enhanced Damage Buff [A] trait, unlike most attackers in the game, is almost negligible on her when she is the main damage dealer. Avoid it in this scenario.
However, as a co-damage dealer or support this is the primary and most important trait choice. - The Burst Skill Power Up trait is a stronger version of Skill Power Up that only affects her Burst Skill. There are situations where you only want to use this skill for maximum damage, but they require a lot of setup. You can currently combine this trait with Critical Damage Up for maximum burst output, but always remember this combination will tank the damage of her other skills. You can also combine regular Skill Power Up with Burst Skill Power Up in detriment of critical damage, but this is not recommended.
- Judie owns a kit that’s a hybrid of a main damage dealer and co-dps or full support, similar to how Marie: Violent Beauty works. In fact, their kits are so alike that their Skill 2’s and Passive 1 are pretty much identical, and their bursts also aim to do the same thing.
- However, Judie’s damage potencies are significantly higher compared to Marie, making her a much more ideal choice in the damage dealing role.
- Her critical damage received debuffs are essentially extra critical damage buffs that you cannot enhance with traits or buff potencies. They are additive to each other so they tend to be weaker than debuffs that increase damage taken.
- These debuffs can be enhanced by boosts to negative effects.
- Her supporting role is much weaker as consequence of these things, but this is mainly a consequence of Fire affinity gear being less fit for the debuffer role. Unlike Bolt or Ice, Fire does not have armor pieces and accessories like Thunder/Frost Armor or Celestial Talisman to boost this role.
- All buffs in her Skill 2 are permanent so she can be played with buff potency effect items to reduce number of casts, and then die to make space for more ally turns. All effects will remain active.
- Her first passive skill boosts the potency of damage buffs alone, including all skill damage and critical damage related buffs. It doesn’t interact with boosts to defensive type buffs or stat buffs.
- The Burst generation effect on her own Burst has insane chain potential starting turn 6 of a fight. It’s imperative for her to take over the first Burst panel of the fight to start creating panels for others. Proper Skill 1 usage from Judie and her Co-Attacker is crucial for this to work.
- Her Burst Skill needs to deal a critical hit to create the panel or the effect won’t happen.

Score shown is only applicable for General Content
Judie is a functional character that can fulfill several roles in a team. Unfortunately, she performs only passably in all of them, with her main niche being multiwave content or longer fights that the current state of the game does not have many of and certainly does not favor.
She also suffers from being completely outclassed in both her main roles, with Fire attacker powerhouses already doing a much better job at dealing raw damage, and pure damage Supports occupying the remaining team slots.
Judie is a filler character for players with a lack of options, or players looking to achieve a more diverse roster or play the game differently for fun. For those looking to optimize their teams, however, Judie falls short in all her intended areas versus already existing characters.
For Judie fans, rest assured she will get the job done nonetheless.
