Negative Panel Immunity.
Boosts potency of positive panels received by 10%.
Mimi is a defensive character oriented towards absorbing hits, reduce damage taken by her party members, and passively heal her team with her own recovery panels. Burst aside, she does not have any offensive tool in her kit in the form of buffs, so it is unlikely that she can be built this way. That makes memorias like Budding Girl without a Name, Our Masterpiece and To the Academy of Dreams! less attractive to use in general but, in absence of a strong Stab Defender specific memoria, these are still solid choices stat wise.
Speaking of stats, When Dolls Dream is the best and most fitting choice for this alone, with a decent Speed stat and massive HP, P.Def and M.Def stats, this will drastically increase her tankiness while still offering her a relevant effect in the form of Strike Evasion. No other memorias can impact her the same way since they don’t match her affinity, but keep in mind a successful evasion will negate her recovery panel generation. This is a nuanced decision.
With all those things in mind, there is one memoria that stands out with her kit and that’s Dress-Up Outing!, adding a strong boost to the potency of her Skill 2 buff, a tool that will protect her and her team from dangerous attacks. Against heavy AoE fights, this is ideal, and its stats are solid too.
Another alternative is It’s Time to Study!, but this time for its stats. Mimi is not a fast character, and a fast memoria could help her act more often, or before certain allies or enemies, with varied results. The effect of this memoria has no effect on her and we just equip it for its high Speed and solid defensive stats other fast memorias don’t have.
Finally, Nothing to Fear with Friends is a preferred item gauge memoria to equip on her. While alternatives like Feathers Fly on a Festive Day are still good, Mimi is not the fastest candidate to make great use of it, so the instantaneous increase will normally yield better results.
Serene Envoy’s Blade
While equipped to a Defender, reduces damage received from single-target attacks by 5 ~ 7%.
Heavy mitigation that is active at all times but only works against single-target attacks. This is often enough considering AoE damage is balanced around non-defenders, so these attacks do minor damage to them. Solid, cheap and accessible item that can be shared among all Defenders.
Fortune’s Light
Reduces damage received by 5 ~ 6% when own HP is at 70% or higher.
A more effective option against all type of attacks, including AoE. It has an HP limit to be effective, which Mimi can maintain relatively easy with her own panels. Her Burst Skill also is guaranteed to bring the effect back up after every use.
Blade of Eradication
While equipped to a character with Stab affinity, after attacking with a single-target attack, reduces target’s Stab resistance by 7 ~ 10% for 2 attacks.
The strongest offensive choice when assisting Stab teams. It matches amazingly with her own Burst, but it can trigger by and be stacked by any of her skills.
Young Lady’s Spear
While equipped to a Defender with Stab affinity, after using a skill, reduces all allies’ damage received by 1 ~ 2% for 1 attack.
A great team mitigation tool that will trigger after any skill use. It works well with her Skill 1, and the effect can stack too. It will also be affected by the Dress-Up Outing! memoria, but for a small gain.
Just use against heavy AoE fights to protect allies instead of herself.
Unterwel Mantel
While equipped to a Defender with Stab affinity, reduces damage received by 5 ~ 7%.
Powerful and unconditional damage mitigation, active at all times. It’s the strongest defensive piece she can equip to reduce damage on herself from all sources.
It can be tough to unlock, being locked behind Stab Tower Floor 27.
Herbal Shirt
When hit by an attack, restores 2 ~ 3% of max HP.
Very strong piece of armor oriented to sustain her own HP against many weaker attacks. It does not work that well against strong and less frequent attacks instead.
Despite its general usability, this armor does not match Mimi’s kit who should be more focused on building her mitigation instead.
Skuller Coat
Boosts potency of buff effects given by 6 ~ 8%.
This piece is oriented to increase the power of her offensive buffs but it also marginally increases the damage mitigation from her Skill 2. It’s the best at protecting allies, but very weak on herself. The extra gains are quite small, however, so I personally would not trade the safety provided by other armor pieces for this in most scenarios.
Champion’s Mark
While equipped to a Defender, reduces damage received by 4 ~ 5%.
Strong mitigation oriented item, with an effect that is always active. The main reason to use this accessory over others that provide same or similar effects is its high Speed stat that no other relevant accessory gives her.
Chronicle Mark – Stab
While equipped to a character with Stab affinity, reduces damage received by 4 ~ 5%.
Quite strong mitigation oriented item, with no special conditions, active at all times. It’s a solid entry level item and well into the end game too for pure damage reduction, and provides a small amount of Speed too.
Cheap and accessible early in the game.
Angel Ribbon
Reduces damage received by 5 ~ 6% when own HP is at 70% or higher.
Extremely solid accessory that matches greatly with her self sustaining kit. This is one of the earliest items you can unlock in the game. It’s extremely cheap and serviceable too. Highly recommended for beginners.
Main Traits
- Full HP Resistance traits work great on her thanks to her healing tools on Skill 1 and recovery panels. Her Burst Skill will also guarantee these effects will be active again. these traits are ideal to use against hard hitting enemies, and lose much of their relevancy against many weaker enemies instead. In these cases, regular Physical and Magic Resistance Up traits will do better.
Situational Traits
- The healing done by Recovery Panels is not affected by Recovery Boost type traits, since these enhance the recovery given by the user and this healing comes directly from the panels themselves, not Mimi. The only way to increase the healing Mimi receives from these sources is with the Received Recovery Up trait.
- Recovery Boost [D] will massively boost the healing done by her Skill 1, but that’s all it affects. It’s a usable trait but not great in majority of scenarios.
- Enhanced Damage Buff [A] will only upgrade the effects of certain offensive related memorias. Normally this is not needed for Mimi to hold and play around so personally I would advice against this, but the possibility is there if you want to try it.
- Recovery panels will heal all allies if activated by an ally, or all enemies if activated by an enemy.
- Mimi will not generate panels when hit while she is full HP, which is intended to be this way to not disrupt or overwrite other positive panels too often. Matching traits work well with this in mind.
- She also won’t generate panels if she evades an attack. This makes the Ewig Ehre weapon choice very unattractive unless you are aiming for this. Again, like with the When Dolls Dream memoria, this is a nuanced decision.
- Enemies inflicted with the Panel Disabled effect can still be healed by Recovery Panels IF the panel is activated by an enemy that’s not affected by Panel Disabled.
- The faster Mimi is, the greater her presence in the timeline will be. This effectively increases the number of Recovery panels she can generate.
- On the contrary, if Mimi is too slow compared to teammates or enemies, her visible panels will barely there, so it’s completely possible for her to not generate anything.
- Before healing herself back to full with her Burst skill, she will cleanse herself from all negative and status effects. This rids her of a lot of annoying effects before the healing is done, including Heal Prevention debuffs and guarantees her Burst always works.
- Her Burst will also reduce all enemy resistances for 2 hits, which let’s her work well with other debuff oriented supports without clashing with them, and enhancing the damage and stun damage from allies over her target.
- Her simple kit and non-reliance on specific traits open her up to other different roles too. She can work great as a pseudo-breaker, filling up holes and finishing up enemy stun bars when built this way, without neglecting her main role.
- In order for her self sustain tools to do any work, she needs to mitigate damage. She will not hold up well if she dies in 1 or 2 hits, so a proper build is important for her kit to even enter in action and give enough time to her panels and skills to trigger.
