High Priority
Alternative
Low Priority
- Skill 2 Power Up is her highest damage output trait but only affecting her Skill 2, her main source of damage, in detriment of the rest. Her Burst Skill is rarely used.
- Skill Power Up is the most universal trait for most content, boosting the base potency of all skills equally. It’s completely fine to use this too, it just provides a smaller damage boost.
- Enhanced Damage Buff [A] is ideal to convert the effect of any critical damage memoria equipped into additional critical damage. Most importantly, it also multiplies her own self buff and the effect of Resilient New Students’ Staff which can grant her an absurd amount of free critical damage. Memoria and Staff combined make this trait infinitely stronger than regular Critical Damage Up traits.
- All-Target Attack Power Up is essentially the same as Skill Power Up in both effect and power, since all her skills are AoE.
- Critical Damage Up is a decent trait to have if you don’t have access to a high rank critical damage memoria. This only replaces Enhanced Damage Buff [A] traits. They should never be together.
- Air Damage Boost and Magic Damage Boost correspond to a different damage multiplier and are much weaker boosts than Skill Power type traits. They are a last option, normally for the early and mid stages of the game only.
- Resna is a character that’s impossibly easier to use with absurd levels of power hidden in her main kit and gearing options. Her passive skill matched with the effect from Resilient New Students’ Staff provides massive amounts of buffs, all of which can be increased by buff bonuses and traits.
- She depends strictly on the use of boost-type panels to work properly. This not only will give her the respective buffs, but also activate her weapon effects and passive, and provide her with guaranteed critical hits on her Skill 2.
- Matching her with boost panel generators like Saskia: Master of Alchemy or Sophie: Mighty Boss, and battle items like Student Support Red Jelly will practically guarantee her favorable conditions.
- If none of those options is available, she can create her own follow-up boost panels by using her Skill 1, especially when used during her first turn.
- Using the Student Support Red Jelly battle item while standing on a Boost-type panel, will let her activate the effect twice, effectively doubling all the bonuses.
- The guaranteed critical rate given to her Skill 2 by landing on these Boost-type panels only lasts during the same turn she landed on them. If using battle items (therefore moving the timeline 1 space) results in Resna moving out of this panel, she will lose the critical rate benefit, but the skill damage and critical damage bonuses gained will remain. This is another strong reason to always bring 1 copy of Student Support Red Jelly when playing her.
- She cannot be affected by negative effects from panels. That includes all red-icons, including damage down and weakness. This makes her really easy to use and just ignore those pesky rotation-ruining panels that sometimes show up.
- She is still affected by status effects inflicted by panels, and by negative effects inflicted by enemies.
- Her passive effect cannot stack, but it is not capped, meaning you can’t gain this effect more than once per turn (in case you activated 2 panels in 1 turn), but the skill damage bonus can be boosted by traits and gear effects to an indefinite amount.
- Her Leader Skill is extremely powerful and almost always be and should be used when playing her not only for the offensive power gained but also the defenses.
- If using battle items to move from boost-type panel to another in the timeline, she can trigger the effect of Resilient New Students’ Staff twice in a single turn. With the right traits and buff potency boosts from her gear, she can turn this buff to over 200% total.
- Float Ring panels created by Valeria: Radiant Summer are categorized as Boost-type panels, so they can trigger all of Resna’s effects. Not only that, but this will also convert the original 40% skill damage gained per regular panels to 100% critical damage per panel instead.
- Her Burst Skill, while powerful, it’s rarely used because it does not have the guaranteed critical properties her Skill 2 does, and it requires a Burst panel to use, which halves all the potential bonuses she can normally gain from a regular boost panel.
New:
- Skill 2 Power Up trait is now possible to be matched with Enhanced Damage Buff [A], adding a 15% extra skill power total that she didn’t have before, and allowing Resna to use 3x EDBA traits instead of 2x like before. This combination is optimal in almost every single situation.

Score shown is only applicable for General Content
Despite having been release almost half a year ago, Air Resna has aged incredibly well and keeps evolving with new gear and allies.
In my opinion, she is still the strongest dps character for general content, completely destroying fights that are neutral or even resistant to Air with sheer power. Everything in her kit is set for her to exploit maximum damage output in her first action, without requiring bursts or critical rate buffs and vastly surpassing her competition. Other characters in the roster have tried to do the same, but with weaker results.
There is a community meme called “Resna Brainrot”, and this is the origin. A character and team so strong and so easy to play that you wouldn’t believe the designers were not drunk when they made it.
For fans of this brainrot, Resna is the primary factor. Must have.

Hi, I know you advocate for multiple copies for multiple situations, but what would be the best single combination of traits? This is inspired by your Izana, Return of the Knight advice where you ranked combinations from bad to best. Thanks!
Hi. Resna is a much simpler character in comparison. With the newest character additions (Strike Izana), I strongly recommend a combination of 3x Skill 2 Power Up and 3x Enhanced Damage Buff [A]. Yes, 3x EDBA now, since the extra skill power up from new trait makes up for the difference.
Same Weapon and Armor are still recommended, but keep in mind one thing a new better accessory will be introduce in February, if you want to hold on crafting that piece.
