Passive Skill 1: From Misfortune to Fortune
During battle, change all Weakening-type Panels (except converted/generated ones) that appear on the timeline to Straw Hat Panels.
Resna can use her Burst skill during turns you activate a Straw Hat Panel.
Straw Panel: Treated as a Boost-type Panel. When activated by an enemy, Damage Dealt -40% for 1 attack. When activated by an ally, Skill Damage of that ally +40% for 1 turn and Critical Rate of all allies +25% (MAX 300%).

Passive Skill 2

Passive Skill 2: Summer Magic
After stunning any target, boosts all allies’ M. ATK by 20% for 1 turn.

Quite uncommon memorias show up in this list. Both Seaside Splendor and Hard at Work! toping the list for their simple effects. The former has a very slight but negligible edge over the latter, since it can affect Resna’s Skill 1, but Hard at Work! works with her two main skills regardless and it’s a lot more accessible.
With a higher potency than those two this time, Wedding Rehearsal Antics is her top performance option but with a critical hit condition. This might seem like much, but with the help of her panels alone, and any other ally effect place, she can cap her own critical rate really fast. It’s not rare for her to start a fight with an already over 60% total chance with only 2 panel activations plus her own base rate. After that, it should be pretty much guaranteed.

For offensive alternatives Dress-Up Outing! is the strongest choice, drastically increasing the M.Atk stat buffs from her Burst Skill and second Passive Skill provided to allies, something she aims to and can sometimes do multiple times for a single ally turn if she is fast enough.
Alternatively, A Yukata-Clad Sprint through the Steam is a debuff oriented memoria that will apply additional reductions to magic type affinities, including Bolt. This is quite potent when this memoria is sufficiently ranked up, but mostly unnoticeable otherwise.

Lastly, the The Scion of Arland memoria is a very strong debuff addition to her kit, requiring a Bolt weakness which she can easily create for herself with her Skill 2, but not with her Burst Skill so keep that in mind.

Water God’s Axe

While equipped to a Breaker with Bolt affinity, boosts stun damage by 14%. Boosts all Seasonal allies’ M. ATK by 5%.

Situationally best weapon to equip, despite providing slightly lower stun damage than Divine Aid Staff, the extra M.Atk stat on Seasonal characters more than makes up for this. It also has the perfect traits for most situations so it’s a no brainer.
The M.Atk boost is affected by increases to potencies of buffs given.

Divine Aid Staff

While equipped to a character with Bolt affinity, boosts stun damage of attacks that target all enemies by 13 ~ 18%.

For those who missed on the even that gave Water God’s Axe, this weapon is almost exactly the same, except it has slightly more stun power and no M.Atk boost. It’s quite strong but a bit expensive to craft.

Seaside Umbrella

While equipped to a Breaker with Bolt affinity, boosts stun damage of attacks that target all enemies by 11 ~ 16%.

Direct downgrade to Divine Aid Staff, but much more accessible and cheaper to craft. If you participated in Summer 2024 event, that is.

Stylish Broom

Boosts potency of buff effects given by 6 ~ 8%.

Buff oriented alternative in her list of weapons, slightly improving the potency of her M.Atk stat buffs. This is a relatively weak effect compared to similar ones from other equipment slots, but worth considering.

Steel Bow

While equipped to a Breaker, boosts stun damage by 6 ~ 8%.

This weapon provides a slight boost to stun damage and has no special conditions required. It’s cheap to make and unlocked very early in the game, making it ideal for beginners without access to any of the options above.

Thunder Armor

While equipped to a character with Bolt affinity, after attacking, boosts enemy’s damage received by 4 ~ 5% for 2 attacks.

Debuff oriented armor that will apply a handy and moderately strong debuff on all enemies hit. It’s easy and cheap to craft and very easy to use and stack with itself. Highly recommended.

Seaside Swimsuit

While equipped to a Breaker with Bolt affinity, boosts potency of negative effects inflicted by 11 ~ 15%.

Pretty self explanatory. Debuff oriented piece of armor designed to enhance the effects of her Bolt Resistance, Critical Damage Taken and Magic Damage taken debuffs. It is strong, although it doesn’t interact with other commonly used gear pieces.

Anendtos

While equipped to a character with Bolt affinity, when attack target is stunned, boosts target’s damage received by 6 ~ 8% for 2 attacks.

This item applies the same debuff than Thunder Armor, but with a significantly higher potency. The catch is that it requires the target to be broken by Resna in the same turn of the application, meaning in terms of practicality this item is much inferior. It is also a lot harder to stack due to this same condition, but against targets that are easy to break, this item is ok.

Charade Lumont

Boosts stun damage by 8 ~ 11% on attacks that hit all enemies.

This armor provides a moderate boost to all AoE attacks. It’s the earliest stun related item you can unlock and the cheapest too, so it’s a good early game alternative for beginners.

Seaside Hat

While equipped to a Breaker with Bolt affinity, boosts potency of buff effects given by 11 ~ 15%.

Massive boost to potencies of buffs given, primarily those M.Atk buffs provided by her Burst Skill and Passive Skill. When not using Bursts for this purpose, or when not breaking enemies to trigger the effects to begin with, this item loses all of its power so change it if that’s the case.

Orphic Ring: Bolt

While equipped to a Breaker with Bolt affinity, boosts stun damage of attacks that target all enemies by 11 ~ 16%.

Extra stun damage for all her main skills. High potency item on a very cheap and easy to unlock recipe with high Speed stat.

Thundercall Crown

While equipped to a character with Bolt affinity, when attack target is stunned, boosts all allies’ M. ATK by 4 ~ 5% for 1 turn.

Very similar to Seaside Hat in both effect and potency but slightly weaker. It has essentially the same trigger condition too and the same Speed stat, but no HP stat.

Main Traits

  • It’s important to mention from the start that both Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down and Enhanced Resistance Down [Bolt] traits are almost equal in power, but they both play around different playstyles and fulfill different purposes. Currently it is not possible to match both traits together and, even if we could, it would not be advisable.
The Enhanced P./M. Resistance Down is a trait that only play well when using her Burst Skill, something that is not too hard to achieve thanks to her own Straw Hat panels. This will also play well with her stat buffing capabilities and it’s ideal for bossing or more involved/harder fights. It also works with any magic team.
On the other hand, the Enhanced Resistance Down [Bolt] trait is a much more comfortable trait designed to enhance her Skill 2, something better used to assist Bolt damage dealers in specific, like Izana: Return of the Knight. This will also impact her stunning power with this skill, but it will leave her Burst Skill entirely unaffected. This trait is better used for fast and easy general content fights.
  • The Magic Stun Damage Boost (or any similar traits mentioned below) should never be neglected. Resna absolutely needs to stun enemies to trigger her most powerful effects, so try not to ignore this trait if you can.

Situational Traits

  • Yes, Resna can use double stun traits. It will reduce the power of her debuffs, but also almost guarantee her buffs triggering. I personally do not recommend doing this but she is a lot less negatively impacted than similar Breakers for doing this.
  • With that in mind, her second trait slot can include additional Magic Stun Damage Boost traits, or Stun Damage Up on Weakness. The latter will play well with her Skill 2 against enemies neutral to Bolt, but it will require a natural weakness on them when using her Burst.
  • Resna excels in content with many natural Weaken-panels (skill damage down panels) in them due to the plethora of benefits she and her team as a whole receive from them. All of these panels will naturally be converted to Straw Hat panels, changing the way they interact with each character and enemy that lands on these.
    • If Resna lands on a Straw Hat panel, she will gain 40% skill damage, will permanently increase all allies critical rate by 25% (up to 300%), and her Burst Skill will become available to use.
    • If any ally lands on a Straw Hat panel, they will gain 40% skill damage and will permanently increase all allies critical rate by 25% (up to 300%)
    • If any enemy lands on a Straw Hat panel, they will be inflicted by the regular debuff that reduces all their damage dealt by 40% for 1 turn.
  • Boosts granted by panels, including the critical rate effect, are not affected by traits or increases to potencies of buffs given, but they are affected by increases to potencies of buffs received. Each character can have a different and individual total critical rate because of this.
  • The -40% skill damage given to enemies landing on these Straw Hat panels is a flat cut to total damage dealt, which is much much stronger than what it sounds like.
  • These panels effectively eliminate all risk of allies losing damage to regular red panels, while retaining the original effects on enemies. As a result, Resna is highly effective offensive character in fights with many of these panels.
  • Weaken panels converted or generated by enemies, battle items or skills from allies like Totori: Hopeful Sailor will not be turned to Straw Hat panels.
  • Her own Skill 1 can be used to relocate her on top of one of these panel while providing her with two separate effects. The first one is a permanent stun damage scaling up to 20% after 2 uses, and the second one is another 20% stun damage that only lasts for the next turn and cannot be scaled. This makes up for an up to 40% stun damage setup tool which will greatly improve her other skills’ breaking power.
  • The increased 35% critical damage received effect in her Skill 2 is identical to a 35% critical damage buff, but this effect can only be increased by boosts to potencies of negative effects.
  • If having troubles stunning enemies quickly, consider using her Leader Skill. It only affects Burst Skills, but it’s an insanely strong boost to her power and other Seasonal Breakers like Klaudia: Moonlit Beach, and does not compromise the damage of Seasonal allies like Valeria: Radiant Summer.
  • Speaking of Valeria: Radiant Summer, all Straw Hat panels from Resna can perfectly coexist with Float Ring panels from Valeria since they both convert from different types of panels to begin with.
