Passive Skill 1: Sweet Smell of Pie

When attacked while at less than max HP, converts all of own visible panels except Burst Panels into HP Recovery Panels, and replace own visible panels that were empty with HP Recovery Panels.
With a highly defensive kit designed to protect allies from harm, you have the choice of boosting this ability further or expand her role into a more offensive oriented style.
For the latter, you have classic buffing choices like Budding Girl without a Name, Our Masterpiece and To the Academy of Dreams! being unconditional boosts active at all times. Against many enemies, the new Bomberwomen Duo memoria will take the lead.
In the debuffing department instead, The Scion of Arland will be extremely powerful when paired with her Skill 1 and enemies weak to Fire, but alternatives like A Yukata-Clad Sprint through the Steam will not require conditions and still do a great job.
Defensive wise, the most ideal choice to protect her team is Wishes of Healing drastically improving the effect of her damage reduction buffs. For her own survivability however, she has the option to equip Those Who Weave History, an underused and quite accessible memoria with great defensive stats and strong healing boosting effect for Rorona alone. This extra healing potency will help her sustain Full HP conditional traits, or keep her healthy to not rely on other allies.
Despite her average Speed, she will be using her low wait time Skill 1 very often which will result in her having actions more frequently. This makes the Feathers Fly on a Festive Day very attractive for her to equip to get strong item gauge gains.

Mythical Beast Sword
While equipped to a Defender with Fire affinity, reduces damage received by 5 ~ 6%.
Flat damage cut to all damage, at all times. It has no conditions and is the most ideal defensive pick for her own survivability.

Pastete Dream
When equipping to a Defender with Fire affinity, boosts all allies’ magic skill damage by 4 ~ 5%.
The top offensive weapon in her list, only working with magic teams. The effect can be boosted by Enhanced Damage Buff [A] trait.
The effect is passive and active at all times.

Training Path
Boosts potency of negative effects inflicted by 6 ~ 8%.
Offensive and defensive focused item when equipped on Rorona, enhancing the potency of all her negative effects including memorias like The Scion of Arland but also all her inflicted damage reduction debuffs. This is very strong at mitigating damage with her Skill 1 and Burst.

Sling of Happiness
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts potency of buff effects given by 9 ~ 12%.
For the same reason Wishes of Healing memoria is recommended defensively, this weapon is recommended too. Moderate boost to her damage reduction buffs and passive oriented towards protecting her team, and can be a decent offensive boost on her regular buff or similar items.

Serene Envoy’s Blade
While equipped to a Defender, reduces damage received from single-target attacks by 5 ~ 7%.
Heavy mitigation that is active at all times but only works against single-target attacks. This is often enough considering AoE damage is balanced around non-defenders, so these attacks do minor damage to them. Solid, cheap and accessible item that can be shared among all Defenders.

Fortune’s Light
Reduces damage received by 5 ~ 6% when own HP is at 70% or higher.
Exact same bonus as Mythical Beast Sword, but with a HP condition attached. There is no reason to use this over the sword, but it is much more accessible early in the game so this will work fine in the meantime.

Hero’s Armor
When using magic skills, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 6 ~ 9%.
Normally offensive oriented, when equipped on Rorona it turns defensive, empowering the potency of her damage reduction debuffs drastically.

Valkyrie Mail
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, boosts potency of buff effects given by 9 ~ 12%.
Another buff oriented gear piece that aims to make her damage reduction buffs and passive stronger. This is best used to protect her team instead of herself.

Royalty Robe
While equipped to a Defender with Fire affinity, reduces own damage received by 10 ~ 14% when at full HP.
Extremely powerful armor that will significantly reduce the damage of any hit received when she is at full HP. Rorona just doesn’t have a reliable way to prevent damage or recover HP consistently without acting, so she is more reliant on her team to keep this effect active.

Herbal Shirt
When hit by an attack, restores 2 ~ 3% of max HP.
Strong piece of armor oriented to passively sustain hits without the need to act. This heal will also be affected by recovery traits such as Recovery Boost [D], making it much stronger, and will be active from the start of the fight, not needing any action and not having any duration.

Starbound Wings
While equipped to a Defender, boosts potency of inflicted negative effects by 7 ~ 10%.
Defensive item oriented towards increasing team-wide mitigation, by making her damage reducing debuffs stronger. It also has solid Speed and HP.

Phoenix Bracelet
While equipped to a Defender with Fire affinity, boosts all allies’ magic attack skill damage by 4 ~ 5%.
Offensive oriented accessory, with an extra buff for her magic allies. This effect is active at all times and doesn’t need her to act, which is good considering this item also gives no Speed.
It provides a massive HP boost.

Fire Spirit Ring
While equipped to a character with Fire affinity, reduces damage received by 4 ~ 5%.
Quite strong mitigation oriented item, with no special conditions, active at all times. It’s a solid entry level item and well into the end game too for pure damage reduction, and provides a decently high Speed stat.
Cheap and accessible early in the game.

Angel Ribbon
Reduces damage received by 5 ~ 6% when own HP is at 70% or higher.
Extremely solid accessory that matches greatly with her self sustaining kit. This is one of the earliest items you can unlock in the game. It’s extremely cheap and serviceable too. Highly recommended for beginners.
Main Traits
- Regular Resistance traits are just about right with Rorona since she doesn’t really have a consistent way to stay at full HP or prevent damage entirely.
- Recovery Boost [D] is the other main trait aimed towards self sustain. This trait is great combined with her Skill 1 and completely useless otherwise so keep that in mind when building her.

Situational Traits
- Her second trait slot is open Let’s check them out:
- Enhanced Damage Buff [A] is her ideal trait to boost the power of buffing memorias or gear pieces, and her own skill damage buff on Skill 2. This serves well in most content that’s not super aggressive, and can combo with any of the main traits just fine.
- Full HP versions Magic Resistance Up and Physical Resistance Up traits are also very strong but much harder to keep up without team assistance. Use ideally hand in hand with Royalty Robe.
- Rorona is primarily a defensive oriented character intended to both reduce the damage her allies take and also directly reduce the damage dealt by the enemies. This combination of things can be absurdly powerful especially since the duration of the effects is long and can be stacked many times.
- The main aspect of Rorona’s kit is her AoE Skill 1. This will let her apply this powerful debuff consistently on all enemies at once, with a low wait time, and sustaining her own HP at the same time. This skill is incredibly powerful on its own and can also be used to apply offensive debuffa from memorias, or similar effects all at once.
- Helped by the great itemization of the Fire Affinity, Rorona can drastically boost the potency of her buffs and become a powerful mitigation character not only via debuffs but also with buffs.
- Her Burst Skill is absurdly strong mitigation wise, lasting for 2 enemy attacks and halving the damage all enemies deal on a base level. This damage can be further reduced by boosts to negative effects or field effects, turning heavy hitting enemy into complete pushovers. The Speed debuff is the cherry on top. While mostly meaningless on easy enemies, this will make a great difference against fast ones. I cannot overstate how strong of a mitigation tool this skill is.
- When attacked, she will convert or generate HP Recovery panels in all her own visible panels. When using exclusively her Skill 1, you will see these panels often which can results in substantial team healing but be mindful of her Skill 1 displacing these panels on top of enemies if abused too hard.
- All her skills deal damage on enemies so she is very disruptive of ally debuffs.

Score shown is only applicable for General Content
As is tradition with Rorona versions, this one is also grossly misunderstood and underappreciated. With both great offensive and defensive aptitudes in her kit and strong and diverse itemization options for both situations, she is one of the most solid and multi-affinity friendly characters in the game.
She is not the most durable and auto friendly alternative, however, requiring active play and sometimes proper preparation to not overlap panels or end up healing enemies.
Rorona does not add any important synthesis gift, and the disruptive nature of her Skill 1 will make her just average in competitive content as well.
Fun and powerful character for more invested players, but not recommended for alchemists looking for a more hands-off, autoplay experience.
